Privacy and cookies

We value your privacy. Obviously, that is how every privacy text on every website starts, but we are happy to explain what data we store, how we do that and why. We do not go out and collect data about you, everything we know about you you told us yourself. We do need certain personal data to successfully train you to become an even better diver. For example:
First name, last name - It is rather convenient if we know how to address you.
Day of birth - Sometimes there is a minimum age required, also important if we certify you.
Sex - For certification purposes
Address, phone, email - In case we want to contact you or ship stuff to you.
Details about your health - In most cases a form stating you are healthy is sufficient. However, sometimes there can be medical issues to consider while diving. Obviously your health and safety comes first.
Training goals and progress - Obviously we track your progress during training.
Payment details  - For our administration.

In some cases we share our information with the following third parties:
PADI - For specific certifications
EFR - For specific certifications
AWARE - When contributing to a good cause
DAN - For insurance purposes
NOB - For specific certifications

We store these details in digital form, and partially on paper during your training. In digital form your data might be stored in 2 systems: our booking system and our website. If we do use your data on paper, we store it in a personal folder. After your training is done, all paper documents will be digitally archived and destroyed. This way, we store your data as safe as possible. If you do have any concerns or questions, feel free to contact us. Like we said, we value your privacy and are happy to discuss solutions when needed.
